Is Fake News Real?

Breaking News!!! At approximately 9:33 am on Saturday, February 10, 2018, a mailman spotted an "unmarked women". She was walking a dog in a suburb of Dallas, Texas when the man noticed her. In an interview with one of our reports, he said, "she had absolutely no characteristics that caught my scrutinizing eye. It's just unbelievable." Information is still being collected and updates are soon to come. Stay tuned.

After contemplating Tannen's claim for quite a while, I cannot disagree with her. For about ten minutes, I swear that I was trying to picture a woman who had features that "said nothing about her", but I couldn't. The news update above (it's satirical if you didn't realize it) and society and even Tannen have distinguished women in a certain way without even realizing ithair, clothing, shoes, etcMerely claiming to find such woman is in itself a concession to the opposing viewpoint. If a woman was truly able to mask others, no one would notice her outside appearance.
Even though we naturally think this way, it's completely ludicrous. Why do factors of imagery reign superior to those of character? Why are we stuck "studying" women while men are excluded from judgement? As with any man who has "the freedom to be unmarked", woman deserve the ability to be taken into account based on their actions and character. If we could ever transform in such a way, we wouldn't have to worry about gender equality; there wouldn't even be an entire section of our English book devoted to this issue. But until we do so the world isn't anything more than a superficial examiner.
Here's a picture of a red panda. To be honest, I couldn't find anything related to the post, so enjoy this instead.

  1. Your satire felt so spot-on! I really felt engaged by your post from the get-go. Other than the panda, the whole post felt natural.

  2. Wow Michael! The way you incorporated the red panda at the end was super scintillating, exquisite, and marvelous! On a serious note, the use of satire in the beginning was well-used and I really enjoyed the point you made about gender equality being actually accomplished. Great Post!
